This stainless steel, great quality tool for coring apples and pears is sturdy and heavy duty and gets the job done quickly and with ease. I was so impressed with how well it worked that I couldn't believe I kept cutting and coring apples with a knife all my life! When coring hard apples with it like granny smith, I sometimes start from one side, but if it doesn't go through all the way, I pull the corer out and try going from the other end, and that always does the job. I am very happy with this corer, great buy for any kitchen. excellent corer, great tool to have at home - easy to use and clean, and doesn't take any room to store.
